Abraham Lincoln Birthplace

My final stop was at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace in central Kentucky. An impressive monument structure sits on the site, which was home to the farm where Lincoln was born. Inside is a log cabin from the same time he was born, though it is not the actual cabin he was born in.

The inscription above the columns on the monument highlighted a line from Lincoln’s second inaugural address delivered in 1865: “With malice toward none, with charity for all.”
