Big Cypress National Preserve

Big Cypress National Preserve protects more than 729,000 acres of swamp lands in South Florida. There were many driving and walking paths with boardwalks along the swamps. The area protects endangered species, such as the Florida panther, which I did not happen to run into (luckily). I did see one crocodile in the water from the safety of a boardwalk at H.P Williams Park. I was impressed by the number of birds and wildlife along the drive and the beautiful, serene swamp waters.
