Canyonlands National Park protects the canyons that surround the meeting of the Green River and the Colorado River. The canyons are impressive and short hikes take you to cliffs with dizzying views looking down. A winding dirt road can be taken from the top of the canyons down steep grades with tight turns. We enjoyed watching motorcycles make there way up but didn’t adventure down the road. The views went on for miles and were stunning. Looking out you can only imagine how vast the Grand Canyon must seem.
We also followed a short trail to the Mesa Arch in the park. This low arch was beautiful with views of canyons and be LaSal Mountains through the arch.
