I flew from Oregon to Denver to start a week of National Parks exploration. The first stop was Colorado National Monument. The beautiful landscape is reached by climbing switchback roads and squeezing through small mountain tunnels. Just a short hike away from the visitors center led to stunning views along silent, peaceful trails. The Independence Monument and Balanced Rock were impressive sites.
