Constitution Gardens sits along the north side of the National Mall, just west of the World War II memorial. The grounds previously housed temporary government office buildings which President Nixon ordered demolished in 1970, followed by the creation of a park. in 1986, President Reagan declared the park be a living tribute to the Constitution.
