After touring the White House, we walked to Ford’s Theater where President Lincoln was assassinated. Across the street was Peterson House where he was taken after the shooting and later died.

One of the most interesting things about this quest I’m on is being able to follow our history from many points along the way. Just a few short months ago, I visited Lincoln’s birthplace, and now on this trip I was able to visit where he lived, where he died, and the impressive monument to this influential president.
