After leaving the MLK memorial, we walked along the tidal basin to the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the 50th stop on my quest to see 100 parks in a year before the National Parks Service centennial. This is an expansive and moving memorial, with many quotes, sculptures and features throughout. The flowering trees provided for beautiful pictures.
