One of my favorite Monuments in DC, the Lincoln Memorial sits proudly at the west end of the National Mall, anchoring the nearly 2 mile stretch to the nation’s Capitol. After walking through the marble columns, visitors enter a dimmer, quieter space to honor our 16th President. The walls on either side feature the text of the Gettsyberg Address and his Second Inaugural Address.
