On a rainy (and at times snowy) Saturday morning, we toured the White House (President’s Park). I still find it so impressive that our presidential home is open to the public to see the centuries of history, artwork, and decor from each president. Walking through the East Room you can imagine the state dinners, concerts, and speeches given in this space. A tour guide made sure to point out the red carpet that the president walks down before speaking to TV cameras.

I had to stop and celebrate as I realized my 44th stop along this journey was to visit the home of our 44th President!
